All about the baby!

Last week Keyan had his 4 month checkup. He was 27 inches long and weighed 17 pounds\11 ounces! We had a poll on his weight before going and we were surprised that he weighed ONLY that much. He feels and looks so much bigger!

He is ALMOST sitting up and ALMOST rolling over. The doctor said he'd be slower to roll over because he's so big. The doctor also said "I'm glad I'm not packing him around!"

Last week I moved Keyan from the basinet to the playpen. He was pretty snug in there and started waking up alot more at night. I figured if I was going to start the night training thing I might as well try the new bed too. Well I was relieved that he liked the playpen. I have decided not to put the crib up. It's already so crowded in this little house and the crib is really big. I've had friends who kept their babies in playpens instead of cribs so I'm hoping it continues to work.

The bumbo was an early Christmas present from my mom. I thought he'd like it and he does. It's great cuz I put him right next to me on the counter when I do dishes or cook dinner and he just watches me.

This is Keith's daddy! :-)

So you know how baby's looks change week to week...one week they look like mom, the next like dad, and the next like neither? Well this week everyone is saying Keyan looks more like me than Keith (although its still a combination). I'll take it cuz I think he's a doll!

My little sister from San Antonio was here for a couple days and this was the first time she met Keyan. I LOVE this picture of them!

So even more GREAT news...yesterday Keyan started taking his binkie. I've tried since birth and it was never a go. But I'd keep trying every 2-3 weeks and yesterday was the magic day. Today he had it in his mouth almost all day. I know it could all change tomorrow but today I enjoyed it! He was so easy-going and content....today I felt like I had the baby that I see everyone else having! :-)

Daddy took this shot of Keyan holding his first golf club. One more golfer to add to the 4K family!
