It's Party Time Yo Yo!

August 6th 2010 at 8:30 p.m. Keyan turned one year old today!!!

From the moment I got up, I was busy getting ready for the party. By 5:00 when Keith got home, I was exhausted! The weather had been crazy all day too…cloudy, rainy, sunny, cloudy, rainy, sunny. But thankfully it didn’t rain on us at the party and the overcast weather made it very comfortable. 19 guests (of the invited 36) had hamburgers, hotdogs, salad, fruit, chips, cake and ice cream. Watching Kaysar open presents was the best part! He was overwhelmed with excitement and was saying some of the craziest things. He had all of us laughing and even stripped down to his birthday suit for everyone. Oh yes we have it all on video.

It was a great party and I was sad when it was all over. Now on to preschool and more milestones!!!

I can't even remember what happened that made him so upset but it was the first picture I had taken of him on his birthday.

Caption reads: It's my party and I'll cry if I want to. (Now you know where the phrase comes from.)

Ahhh that's much better.

Sitting with Grandma Sharon...waiting to get this party started.

My sister's kids know what its like to have their picture taken!

I love this picture!!!!

Caption reads: I'm just making sure you're still there mom because there are alot of strange people in my house right now and my aunt Kristan is reading me this silly book.

Look at how nice they (the other kids) pose for a picture.

Can we get anymore on the swing?

A dinner of watermelon and hotdogs.

Kaysar's dinner: Watermelon and chips?

Next year I'm going to copy my cousin and fill the pinata full of flour!

Sitting with Grandma Kathy and Great Grandma Veenstra.

Finally he can stop asking me for an Iron Man toy! He was getting tired of my saying "let's just see if you get one at your birthday." And he did!!!!

Bionicle Legos

Another Transformer!

Roller Skates.

The unforgettable Iron Man costume!

Fully dressed ... in the Iron Man costume.

I couldn't keep the candle from burning out so I made him blow out the match.

Hmmmm what is this?

Demolished the cake just so he could have the dino face.
However he didn't eat it because he is just like his dad and doesn't like cake...is that crazy or what?

But little brother LOVES cake!

And enjoyed every minute of it!

Trying out the new toys!

I loved every single picture! It looks and sounds like it was a great party. I can't believe that Keith and Kaysar don't like cake. That is crazy! Oh, well...more for you and Keyan. :)
