Something 'bout a house.

My personal touch. Let me know tell you how stressful I found painting ONE door!

This is what the exterior of the house looks like FINISHED!

Sprinklers going in.
Sod after water is turned on.
Can't wait for green grass!!!!

This is supposed to be painted all one color. I'm not the only one who thinks this is ugly right?

When Kaysar saw the blinds in the bonus room he came running to me saying "the blinds don't match anything up there!" So I told him to check his room out and he came out yelling, "They don't match anything in this house! I don't like them! I want white ones!"
:(
But yesterday he told me, "I'm getting kind of used to them now."
:)

We are eventually hanging bead board under the counter where barstools will go. Any color suggestions for the bead board? I'd like to also match and paint the pantry door. My barstools, as of now, are red. :-)

Yea! The boy's beds are in!

WE'RE OFFICIALLY MORTGAGE HOLDERS...I MEAN HOMEOWNERS AGAIN!

IT WAS A B-U-U-U-U-MPY ROAD FOR SURE! SOMETIMES A MASSIVE HEADACHE, SOMETIMES FUN, SOMETIMES STRESSFUL BUT ALWAYS EDUCATIONAL!

We have signed addendums (which apparently are not binding) showing the following closing dates:

December 15, 2012
December 31, 2012
January 15, 2013
January 31, 2013
February 15, 2013
February 28, 2013
March 15, 2013

...the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They hung the light fixture noticeably off-centered and now have to fix it.

PLEASE NO SHOES ON MY BRAND NEW CARPET!!!!
Or dogs for that matter....we found dog prints all over the house and a not-so-nice suprise left in the bathroom.
We're more than grateful to be able to build a new house....working hard and being smart has it's benefits.

Fence going up.

Smaller lot + bigger house = smaller yard
Smaller lot =closer to the neighbors
Bigger house = more room for kids to play and store our junk
Smaller yard =  less for Keith to mow
Keyan's room

Kaysar's room

Cut outs in the stairway. Isn't Keith so clever?
Bonus room...and maybe one day ... my very own yoga room!

Storage! This is my favorite thing in the house!
Skylights in the bonus room. Love.Worth the outrageous upgrade.

View out our bonus room. We could see the bridge until another house went up.

Aren't they cute? The baby and the doors of course!

Keith's man cave\office.

Living room. It'll never be this messy again!

Kitchen and dining room.
Yes my kitchen is small (sigh). But everything is a trade off when you build a house and we opted for other features. Keith already knows that when I'm in  the kitchen, he'd best stay out.

Storage under the stairs.

The boy's bathtub. This dirty bath is very concerning to Keyan.

View out Kaysar's room. Neighbor right across the street has a little car that is louder than a semi truck. We'll know his schedule soon.
Note to self...don't build or move in the winter. Oh wait ... I've always said that!

Soon to be closets in the bonus room (above).

Soon to be skylights in the bonus room (above)

The black line is where the vinyl will end in the kitchen and the carpet will begin in the living room (above).

Ummm...I'm not sure what he's doing. He told me he wanted a picture in front of his shower like the picture of daddy in front of his shower (see below).

Keith's personal touch of cut-outs in the stairway.

Just practicing I guess!

The only downside of this floor plan is the small kitchen (SIGH) but it's the sacrifice I made for a separate laundry room (YEA), large entry way (YES), guest bathroom (NICE), larger master bedroom (OH YEA) and larger master bathroom (LOVE).

Right now my house looks like a big garage. However once the other stuff goes in it shouldn't look so much like a big garage.

Praying that the neighbors will be great but I'm sure nothing will compare to our old neighbors.
Miss those guys!
