Keyan loves preschool and is already learning so much. He has always had so much to say and now he has even more! Mrs. Bolster says he's a great student and very expressive. Miss Mandy says he's very good unless someone gets in his space and then he loudly tells them to get out. :) Sounds about right! He is learning a lot of songs, tells me stories about God and is telling me words that rhyme. He isn't thrilled however that "everyone writes my name wrong!" This is because I taught him to write his name in all capital letters and they are teaching him lower case. Opps!
If anyone asks Kaysar, "how is school going?" he would answer, "not good." Things were rocky to begin with - he was nervous about starting first grade again and he told me his old friends (who I've tried to explain to him aren't really friends) are making fun of him. I told him those kind of people aren't worth even looking at! I wanted him to be the oldest in class and to be the leader I know he is instead of being the youngest and playing catch up his whole school career. And it's already paying off. His teacher, Mrs. Moulsen, who I really really like, has already told me that he's one of her best students and he always does what is asked. Plus twice he's been rewarded for being the most well-behaved. And we don't have hours of crying over homework every night.
We're only a couple weeks into school and already Keyan has been sick with the flu and Kaysar is currently sick with a bad sore throat.....please let it not be a sign of the year to come.
I ended up taking Kaysar to the doctor the day after I posted this because he was in serious pain....turns out he had strep. But within 24 hours he was already feeling better!!!

The boys looked so handsome for their first day of school. I'm glad that Keyan is loving preschool. I did the same thing with Kacen - taught him his name in all caps. I'm doing better with Tayah. :) I'm glad that things are going well with Kaysar in his class, even if he doesn't feel like it yet. I'm sure one day he will thank you. You have two handsome boys! I'm so sorry about the sickness. We've had our run of it already, too. Blah!
I keep meaning to call you to find out how Kaysar is doing with school! Glad you posted about the boys. I hope CSI is treating you well and will try to call you soon.
